When to start learning foreign languages
Ahead of us is a vacation and a time to rest, and at the same time often trips abroad with our children. Have you thought about whether your kids will be able to communicate in basic phrases, e.g.. in English? Will contact with foreigners be easy and obvious for them?? Will they be scared or flustered, when a foreigner says something to them? Or maybe you are considering choosing a language school for your child or are you even wondering if it is worth sending your child to a language school?
I think, that you should think about it today.
Every day, at every turn, we meet foreigners - at work, at school or on the road. Knowledge of the English language is not only an additional competence nowadays, but most of all making it easier in every area of life. Study abroad, career development, Abroad trips, conferences and lectures, but also making new ones, valuable acquaintances - it all does, that it is worth starting learning a foreign language as soon as possible.
Experts have different opinions. Some say, that learning english, or another foreign language for a young child is primarily fun. Relying on watching English-language movies, fairy tales, drawing classes, gymnastics, rhythmics with musical education. After such classes, the four-year-old does not have to answer questions asked in a foreign language, much less tell a fairy tale. I want to hear myself.
On the other hand, many experts disagree, that contrary to popular belief, young children learn the language very slowly. They will remember words quickly, however, they forget them just as quickly. They cannot pay attention, they are still spinning, and sitting still for longer than 5 minutes fully concentrated is no mean feat, hence they learn easily, but the knowledge does not stay in their heads for a long time.
What do I say?
I guess I'm close to my conviction, that you can start sooner, after all, nothing will happen, if we decide to slowly familiarize the toddler with a foreign language in kindergarten. With a little bit of consistency, your child will catch up quickly, even when he starts learning English at the age of seven, or later. That's my opinion. And what is yours?

Therefore, when asked, when the child should start learning a foreign language, there is no definite answer. However, it is definitely worth observing our child and showing him the possibilities.
If the child in the first years of life does not show much interest in this field, it is worth postponing this decision. Fact, that a child of age 3 lat is not a polyglot, does not mean, that the only hope for his education is quantum physics.
However, there are some rules, worth remembering, when the toddler begins his adventure with a foreign language:
Try to provide the children with as varied learning as possible. Show the children, that foreign languages are also great fun. It is worth taking advantage of the opportunity, that the Internet gives us. You will find an unlimited number of songs here, fairy tales and games, thanks to which your kids will not only have a good time, but also learn new words.
Fairy tales
We all know very well, what our children look like, watching cartoons. Czasem żartujemy nawet, that cartoons could be in Chinese and kids would watch them as if in a trance. So what's the difference, are these fairy tales in Polish?, or in english? If there is no difference, it will be better, for kids to watch cartoons in the original. We can combine business with pleasure in this way.
Songs
Fairy tales fairy tales, but the kids also have to repeat themselves, to process the return in your head, and then remember. So there are a number of songs that are easy to remember, which the kids will learn very quickly.
